Roland DGA Corporation (Irvine, CA) is adding the 74-in.-wide AJ-740 industrial inkjet printer to its AdvancedJET series. Featuring six, ultra-wide, piezo printheads and an advanced, precision-firing pattern, the AJ-740 produces CMYKLcLm graphics on coated and uncoated media at high print speeds. The printer can produce billboards, banners, backlist, fleet and vehicle graphics, and POP displays at a maximum print speed of 872 sq. ft./hr. Print resolutions can reach 720 x 720 dpi.

The optional MU-740 mesh-printing unit facilitates direct printing onto unlined mesh media. The company’s new EcoXtreme ink is formulated for the AdvancedJET printer line. The inks are offered in six colors (CMYKLcLm).
