Roland DGA Corporation (Irvine, CA) is unveiling its 64-in. CAMM-1 Pro GX-64-0 vinyl cutter. The machine integrates with Roland’s VersaWorks RIP software, which allows the cutter to contour pre-printed graphics for signage and POP applications The GX-640 reportedly offers the industry’s most advanced DC servo motor with enhanced mechanical resolution to 3.5 microns. To support heavy material, 10 pinch-roll slots accommodate up to six additional pinch-roll assemblies. Additional features include a heavy-mode setting for such hefty materials as sandblast mask, as well as an overlap function, which allows multiple cuts on thick media, and an extend mode for increased cutting width to track wider cuts.
