Scottsdale Scenes

A gallery of signage from Old Town Scottsdale, a tourist mecca

Prior to the ISA Sign Expo, I stopped for a few days in Phoenix to visit several signshops. As usual, I left myself plenty of time to photograph interesting signage. In this case, I stopped in Old Town Scottsdale, a haven for those looking for jewelry, artwork and other distinctive souvenirs. Various eclectic restaurants add considerable local color. And, the baking sun was a welcome departure from Cincinnati, where it rained 26 of 30 days in April.

Whether modern, rustic or simply colorful, Scottsdale’s signage reflects the city’s flavor that encompasses its adobe-tinted past and progressive present.
