Seiko Instruments (Escondido, CA) is announcing its 64-in.-wide, mild-solvent, high-speed ColorPainter M-64s inkjet printer that images in six (or seven) colors at speeds up to 716 sq. ft./hr. Features include low-odor, high-speed SX inks; the seven-color option offers gray ink, which provides smoother, color-print gradations and improved monochrome printing.
Other features comprise an Onyx RIP Center (SIIT edition); smart-pass technology 4; smart-nozzle mapping 2; dynamic-dot print technology and an improved media-takeup unit. Additionally, a remote-communication function can alert an operator by email or Twitter.
