Epson has released the SureColor V1070, its first A4 desktop UV printer. Using 6-color UltraChrome UV Ink, the printer creates bright, colorful and textured graphics with low graininess and smooth gradations on a variety of media, including photographic images printed directly on graphics. Its white ink delivers opacity on clear and dark substrates, while its Gloss or Matte Varnish offers finishes, textures and embellishments to the print. At less than half the price of comparable UV desktop flatbed printers, the V1070 is suitable for entry-level, at-home users, startup signshops, maker markets, e-commerce and retail/kiosk businesses.
