American Pacific Group (APG; San Francisco) has acquired software developer DigiCut, marking the private equity firm’s third acquisition in the auto film industry of the past three months. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
DigiCut (Tulsa, OK), founded in 1998, develops software used to cut paint protection and window film to be installed on vehicles. The software is supplemented by the company’s library of vehicle part designs.
The deal follows APG’s acquisitions of Fellers (Tulsa, OK), a distributor of vinyl wrap films and supplies, and Interwest (Denver), a distributor of 3M-branded auto and building films. Terms of those deals were also not disclosed.
As DigiCut folds in with the two distributors, the software developer gets extra reach. “Fellers and Interwest have a tremendous footprint of customers that could benefit from our software,” said Judd Reynolds, owner and CEO of DigiCut.
