Inca Digital Printers (Cambridge, U.K.) has released its Inca Onset S20, a flatbed, UV-cure printer designed for high-volume production shops.

The Onset S20 can print to media edge on substrates (up to 2 in. thick) that measure up to 123 x 63-in. The moving bed, vacuum table, with pin positioning, allows you to create one, or multiple single- and double-sided prints. A semi-automated, material-handling system is optional.

The printer comes standard with Fujifilm Sericol’s Uvijet CMYK ink set, but Ultratone inks (Lc, Lm, orange, violet) and white are also available. You can also opt for satin, semi-gloss and gloss ink finishes. The configured printheads, with a 28-picolitre drop size, can be replaced individually. An integrated scanner ensures accurate print density and allows printhead nozzle mapping and alignment. Fujifilm Sericol provides global distribution.
