|1978| (Palatine, IL), an ITW company, is launching TitanBrite™ and SuperBeam™ LEDs that offer low power consumption. The 5W TitanBrite delivers light intensity of up to 250 lumens at 700mA of current. Compatible with most surface-mount processes, TitanBrite LEDs are suitable in such spot-lighting applications as display lighting, sign/graphic backlighting, medical devices, emergency indication, architectural and decorative lighting and high-end appliances, or for any high-intensity, point-source lighting application.

SuperBeam, the first high-power, 1W LED technology to be offered in a through-hole design in the North American market, the company states, is designed to focus intense light into a narrow beam. The through-hole design is well-suited for such applications as flashlights that don’t adopt surface-mount configurations, such as those in a retail showcase, smaller medical-device applications, or any application that calls for bright illumination with a narrow, focused beam.

TitanBrite LEDs are available in cold, warm and neutral white for enhanced product differentiation. Cold-white colors project brightness and cleanliness, while warm-white shades project a more natural, “soft” light. The RoHS-compliant, 10 x 10mm TitanBrite LEDs have domed lenses. Production quantities are available in 8 to 10 weeks.

SuperBeam LEDs provide an optical efficiency of 35 lumens per watt, with a tight beam angle of 25°. This 10mm package is available in cold, warm and neutral white, as well as in red, yellow, blue and green. Production quantities are available in 8 to10 weeks.
