HP (Palo Alton, CA) has announced that Stella Color, a Seattle-based, full-service imaging company focused on green solutions, has acquired an HP Designjet L65500 with HP latex inks to expand its capability to produce sustainable, wide-format digital graphics for indoor and outdoor applications, including posters, banners, and floor and vehicle graphics. Jan Reicher, vice president and general manager, Americas Graphics Solutions Business, HP, said, “With the HP Designjet L65500, Stella Color is able to expand its business to include sustainable large-format applications while also improving the work environment for its employees and increasing the company’s overall productivity.”

Stella Color was also impressed with HP’s Large Format Take Back Program, part of HP’s larger Planet Partners Program, which offers the company the ability to return large-format banners and flags after use at no charge. HP recycles the plastics and fibers from these applications to create new applications, such as Tyvek decking.
