swissQprint (Kriessern, Switzerland) has announced the construction of new premises in the US, according to a press release.

The new facility will be located on three acres within West Dundee, IL, approximately 10 minutes closer to Chicago O’Hare airport than the current headquarters in Elgin. Spanning 24,780 ft., it will feature a 4,757-ft. showroom and hospitality area, a dedicated center for individual and group applications training, and 2,192 ft. dedicated to machine refurbishing and service. A 130% increase is expected compared to the warehouse and office space of the existing premises.

“The heart of the new facility is the expanded showroom to feature our large-format printers and applications, along with increased capacity for our applications and service teams. All of this designed so that we can deliver exceptional support and experiences for our customers,” Erik Norman, president of swissQprint America, is quoted in the release.

In addition, approximately 400 solar panels are planned to be installed and to supply power from renewable resources to the building, which is designed by Heitman Architects Inc. (Chicago) and to be constructed by The DSI Group (Chicago). Groundbreaking ceremony for the building took place on July 9 and completion is scheduled for mid-2026.

“We continue to see North America as a growth market. This new facility for our US subsidiary is a testament to our commitment to serving our North American customers even better,” Kilian Hintermann, CEO of swissQprint, is quoted in the release.
