Sycamore Township Refuses to Ease Ordinance

Salon unable to update signage

Published

on

No recent exceptions have been made for sign-variance cases in Sycamore Township, OH, the Community Press reports. The Salons at Kenwood is the latest business to be denied a sign variance in the area. The salon’s current sign is 20 sq. ft; the company requested a larger sign, but township officials said an exception had already been made for the current sign. The Salon is located in a development where signage from other businesses already occupies the maximum allowable space for signage.

The Salons at Kenwood’s current sign reads “The Salons.” The company wanted to include its full business name on a larger sign, but township officials said they were obligated to enforce the ordinance consistently.
