Steve Aust Signs of the Times June 2007 Issue

Annually, we feature the top finishers in ST’s International Sign Contest with much fanfare in the April issue. Our panel of judges subjectively graded the submissions on the criteria of appearance, originality and theme. We certainly don’t question our judges’ expertise – however, unfortunately, the contest offers a finite number of awards, which leaves many worthwhile signs out of the winners’ circle.

Our editorial staff pored through dozens of signs that narrowly missed placing in the competition, and we’ve compiled 15 also-rans that we believe we should also run. Enjoy the view.
