The Great Outdoors Turns to OOH

Atomic Props helps create the illusion of a snowboarder launched from a half-pipe on a billboard.

Mammoth Mountain, a premiere ski resort in Southern California’s Sierra Nevada range, launched its “new” identity with a billboard on I-405 that resembles a half-pipe. The airborne snowboarder — a mannequin , clad in donated snow gear – celebrates the tagline, “Play Big.” Los Angeles-based ad agency David&Goliath developed the concept, and St. Paul, MN-based Atomic Props helped develop the board and mannequin. Season passholders also received a 7-ft.-wide trail map.
