X-Rite Inc. (Grand Rapids, MI), a color science and technology firm and its subsidiary Pantone© LLC, have announced that the ISO TC130 committee that sets global standards for the Graphic Arts industry has adopted the X-Rite© Color Exchange Format version 3 (CxF3) as the new standard for color data exchange and verification. X-Rite says the standard (ISO 17972- 1:2015) provides the graphic arts industry with an accurate and efficient way to communicate color information across any supply chain.

X-Rite said the CxF3 format allows all aspects of a color to be communicated and, using CxF3, every software vendor that implements and supports can accurately extend the information through global workflows.
