FIRST PLACE

The client, DLC, an upstart, ambitious real-estate developer, took a chance on an unconventional booth for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) tradeshow. According to Lorenc, the design implements the company’s ads to reinforce the company’s visual brand, and incorporates bold colors for the exhibit’s conference rooms. He summarized its design as “powerful structural repetition with oversized logo elements and graphics.” Journey Communications (Wayne, PA) collaborated with Lorenc + Yoo on the design.

SECOND PLACE

Lorenc + Yoo and Journey Communications’ teamwork struck contest paydirt again with this exhibit for Related, a NYC-based architectural firm that also exhibited at ICSC’s tradeshow. Lorenc + Yoo’s design incorporated such elements as multimedia-presentation walls and translucent, backlit displays from Related’s home office. Lorenc described the design as “modern and sleek, with rich woods and dynamic roof forms.”

THIRD PLACE

Bright Sign fabricated the wallpaper backdrop with an electrostatic printer. The mural comprises four pieces, which were pasted onto the existing surface. The shop fabricated the cast-acrylic panels and 3-D letters on its Gerber Scientific Products router. Jonathan Fallos Cabinetmakers Inc. built the exhibit’s casework.
