FROM DOLPHINS TO A shark, we’re swimming in sports car wraps this month, each project hooked with unique challenges. All were well met, of course, so every client was pleased. “After all,” as Signarama River Cities owner Heather Kincaid says, “when you look this good, you might just go a little faster… or at least feel like you do.”

Puzzle Pieces
Signarama River Cities (South Point, OH) recently wrapped their third drag-racing vehicle for the Heaberlin family — this one a pickup. The wrap was a collaborative design between the in-house designer and client, says shop owner Heather Kincaid, a winner of ST’s 2026 Women in Signs Award. Printed on their HP Latex 700 W using Avery Dennison EZRS 1105 vinyl, one of the biggest hurdles was strategically placing seams to maintain the integrity of the design across the vehicle’s unique contours, Kincaid explains. “It’s a bit like solving a puzzle — except the puzzle is large, curved and going very fast down a track,” she adds.

Pan-Florida Expedition
Miami Dolphins superfan Fish Tank Hank drove a hundred miles from Orlando to PopShadow Decals in Odessa, FL, so the husband-and-wife team of Steve and Tea Palella could wrap Hank’s Corvette C8 with a Dolphins design created on Wrapstock.com. The Palellas chose Avery Dennison MPI 1105 EZRS wrap film and DOL 1360Z Gloss overlaminate for the job. However, “In order to wrap the trunk, we had to remove the spoiler, and to remove the spoiler, we had to take the back end of the car apart,” the Palellas say. “There was some cussing going on. :)”

Follow the Plot
A local Audi dealership reached out to AP Corp (Sykesville, MD) to decorate the roof of a 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT for one of their clients. The intricate detail of the design demanded an exceptionally careful weeding process, relates AP Corp’s Becky Sandgren. The shop used their Graphtec FC8600 plotter in combination with Adobe Illustrator on 3M 2080 Satin Dark Gray to produce graphics matching the rest of the car. “Projects like this allow us to step outside our daily scope and apply our expertise to unique vehicle platforms,” Sandgren says.

Orange is the New Hack
When Dan and Aaron Bates from Whitetail Properties (Birdseye, IN) picked up their wrapped car from Digital EFX Wraps (Louisville, KY), they tried to do burnouts in the shop’s parking lot for a cool video shoot, according to Digital EFX’s Matt Richart — but it didn’t turn out too well. That was the only downside, the shop having used their Roland DG TrueVIS VG3-640 with Orange Ink to print the colorful design on Avery Dennison EZRS 1105. “The Orange Ink makes not only the oranges brighter but other colors as well,” Richart says.

SHARK!
Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water… Richard Cox of Tampa, FL drove to local Redline Design and “requested turning his car into a shark,” according to Redline’s Justin Good. The shop used Photoshop to break down and blend a 3D-model shark from ShutterStock, the design effort taking six hours. The shop printed the design using their HP Latex 560 on General Formulations GF 242 OptiMark cast film, and laminated with GF 840 AutoMark Cast Matte Clear Laminate. Trying to get all the teeth to line up with the lines of the front bumper was the greatest install challenge, though Good reports one other: “We only had one attack happen while we were wrapping the car!”
