Clear Channel Outdoor Unveils Digital-Sign Network in White Plains, NY

Published

on

Clear Channel Outdoor (Phoenix) has installed eight, 6 x 3.3-ft. displays on the White Plains, NY’s Dept. of Parking properties, at no cost to the city. The digital-sign network expands MD Sales & Marketing’s ongoing contract with the city. In addition to directing parking and traffic near the parking facilities, the digital network displays, in real time, can relay emergency and traffic information, and also updates on events, festivals, concerts and civic and charity organizations’ messages.

The network rotates static advertising images on each display in an eight-second loop. The displays’ digital scrollers can change messages as frequently as needed.

White Plains, situated only 25 miles north of Manhattan, is one of the nation’s top suburban and retail centers. The city has 56,000 residents, but this number rises to more than 200,000 during the day as office workers, shoppers and visitors arrive by car, rail, bus or plane. White Plains is the business capital of Westchester County and serves as the county seat. The city, which houses a multi-modal public transportation system and an airport, is the gateway to metropolitan and upstate New York, New England and points north, while it’s also located an hour’s drive from four major metropolitan airports.
