Colbert’s “Late Show” Sign Goes to Hollywood

WeHo, a West Hollywood bistro, bought the sign for more than $100K.

In April as his CBS show was nearing its end, CBS late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert auctioned The Late Show sign on-air during a “Late Show Home Shopping” bit featuring guest Jon Stewart. “Buy this,” Colbert said, “and, like me, you can have The Late Show hanging over your head for the rest of your life,” according to a post on Yahoo Entertainment.

Jeff Douek, who owns WeHo Bistro (West Hollywood, CA), bought the sign for $102,100 and had it mounted on the roof of his restaurant this week. The sign measures 12 ft. long, 8 ft., 6 in. tall and 9 in. deep.
