Color Management Group Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Color Management Group (CMG; Orange, CA) is celebrating 20 years in business, having announced a consortium 20 years ago at the Seybold Conference in San Francisco.

The consortium officially united six leading companies that had been working together informally in the color management sector of the industry, according to a press release from CMG.

The original group’s founding members consisted of West Coast consultant-based resellers Alder Technology, Left Dakota, Piccus 4 Color, RP Imaging, and Rods and Cones, together with their Silicon Valley distributor, Color Management [Distribution] that was established in 1998.

“The original alliance joined a strong team of industry leaders with expansive experience and technical expertise,” per the press release. “The group started to grow by peer nomination and approval vote, adding new members across North America and then worldwide.”

In 2022, CMG’s roster is international and consists of Consultant, VAR, Reseller, Affiliate, Honorary and Founding Members and touts a color management community including customers and followers of more than 67,000.
