ColorGATE Appoints New Head of Sales and Business Development

Wilfried Kampe is the company’s new vice president of sales.

ColorGATE Digital Output Solutions GmbH (Hanover, Germany) announced that the company has appointed industry expert Wilfried Kampe to head its sales team as as Vice President Global Sales, effective Jan. 21. This follows ColorGATE s acquisition by Ricoh Company Ltd. at the end of 2018.

Kampe assumed the new role for ColorGATE with over 20 years of experience in the printing industry. He witnessed the development of the first digital printing systems in the second half of the 90s and adds in-depth experience with the hardware and software side of this industry as well as a large international network to the team, the company said in a statement on its website.

Previous positions at other companies have included international product management, marketing, and sales positions for Microtek International, Tektronix CPID (Color Printing & Imaging Division), Böwe Systec, Bestcolor, EFI, and Kornit. Through them all, Kampe remained very close to imaging and printing.
