Daktronics (Brookings, SD) has announced the next video production switcher in its Show Control product family: Live Switch. The new switcher integrates directly into existing systems for high school-level productions to expand control capabilities, according to a press release.

“We’re excited to announce Live Switch, the latest development in Show Control, for the high school marketplace, as well as other similar-level live event productions,” Chris Westerman, Daktronics product manager, is quoted in the release. “It provides the capability to switch up to six video sources in real time using three different switching methods — a mouse or keyboard in the Live Switch software, a control surface for a tactile experience, or by embedded software widgets within Show Control’s Display Studio — whatever fits the production team’s needs.”

Live Switch gives operators more control of their show by allowing them to switch between camera feeds, pre-recorded video and other video clips as needed. Producers also have the ability to highlight past plays or exciting moments with instant replays, all coming together for more engaging shows for audiences, also per the press release. Live Switch includes access to automatic updates to ensure users stay up-to-date with the latest integrations and advancements within the software.
