Published

on

ER2 Image Group (Bloomingdale, IL) has added a 132-in. d.gen Grande G5 textile printer for dye sublimation printing dye-sublimation printing. With its Industrial Ricoh Gen5 printheads and textile-feeding system, the machine prints directly on stretch fabrics and backlit fabrics. The inline fixations speeds of 2,000 sq. ft. per hour will allow ER2 to more than triple its current, textile-printing capacity.
ER2 believes fabric is the future for grand format printing. Much lighter and more portable than vinyl or rigid substrates, even large fabric displays can be folded to ship inexpensively in small containers. Fabric can also be easily stretched onto frames to create shapes and curves, opening new possibilities for displays.
