Gemini Formed CAB Plastic Sheet

Material recyclable, earns LEED credits, company reports

Gemini Inc. (Cannon Falls, MN) is presenting its 2793 red-pigment, formed plastic. The plastic, from which Gemini fabricates channel letters, comprises an organic formulation that, according to the company, can help achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification credits. The company produces the letters from cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB), a recyclable plastic that’s made from wood and cotton-fiber material that’s reportedly completely recyclable. Gemini extrudes its own sheet and produces 55 to 65% of its sheet from its own recycled trim produced during the manufacturing process.
