Gemini Receives Second Sharp Award

Published

on

Gemini Inc.’s manufacturing facilities in Cannon Falls, MN was presented the Safety and Health Recognition Program (SHARP) Award on October 6, by Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Consultation. Gemini’s Iowa facilities received SHARP status from Iowa OSHA in September 2008.
The program recognizes employers who operate an exemplary safety-and-health management system. The OSHA award designates an employer is an exemplary model for worksite safety and health.
According to Jet Tran, Gemini’s safety and environmental officer, the company’s employees and their commitment to safety clinched the award. “We believe safety is our responsibility both in and out of the plants, and we’re continually looking for ways to improve,” Tran said.
The company currently has manufacturing plants in Minnesota, Iowa, Texas, Nevada, Virginia, Canada and Mexico.
