Gerber Scientific Products Acquires Data Technology

Gerber Scientific Products (GSP), a subsidiary of Gerber Scientific Inc. (Windsor, CT), announced the completion of its acquisition of Data Technology Inc. (Wilmington, MA). an manufacturer of automated cutting hardware for the sign and short-run, graphic-production industry.

Greg Wolf, GSP president, stated: “The acquisition of Data Technology Inc. is a positive step forward for Gerber. This addition will extend the Gerber product offering to provide increased opportunity to serve our customers with high quality, precision manufactured products. Data Technology represents a new dynamic in digital graphic cutting and finishing solutions and a great compliment to our Solara UV2 wide format graphic printer. We look forward to making these technologies available to our sign and graphic customers world wide.”

David H. Buckley, Data Technology’s president and CEO, added: "We are excited about the acquisition by Gerber Scientific, as their global multi-market distribution channels and commercial brand development expertise are a perfect compliment to the broad suite of advanced cutting technologies currently offered by Data Technology.”
