Wade Swormstedt Signs of the Times May 2013 Issue

Graphic Solutions Group (Dallas) has added two products that both relate to LED-illuminated signs.

3M™’s Envision™ Translucent Film Series 3730 can be used for screenprinting, cut graphics and thermoforming. This 2-mil, long-term, translucent film is best used for LED sign applications. The matte surface finish eliminates glare and provides uniform color in reflected and transmitted light, the company reports.

BendLUX LED strips are low-profile, flexible lighting designed for illuminating routed acrylic block letters, shallow channel letters, and back-lit halo letters. The strips are snappable every 1.7 in, with jumpers for easy flat bends and connections. These slim, versatile strips are designed for easy installation in the contours of narrow or shallow letters.
