Seiko I Infotech (San Diego) is unveiling the ColorPainter H series: the H-104s and H-74s. These high-speed, mild-solvent, inkjet printers can produce more than 1,000 sq. ft./hr., the company states.

The printers include eight, high-frequency piezo-inkjet heads, which offer 720-dpi resolution. The superwide inkjet heads set multiple drops without slowing down for maximum ink density, according to the company. It can be configured for eight colors (CMYKLcLm + gray + light gray) or double CMYK.

The H-Series features automatic media sensing and head-height adjustment; an improved rack-and-pinion, take-up system; removable sub-tanks; improved inkjet head maintenance; new low-solvent GX ink, Smart Pass Technology and 1.5-liter ink packs.
