HP releases the HP Scitex TJ8550

Hewlett-Packard (Palo Alto, CA) is releasing the HP Scitex TJ8550, a UV printer for high-volume outdoor applications. The billboard mode can output 80 full-size sheets/hr. at speeds up to 5,166 sq. ft./hr. (480 sq. m/hr.) High-quality mode prints up to 1,076 sq. ft./hr.

It comes with Onxy I-Plus for HP Scitex, which lets users work on two separate files in a split screen. Front-end features include cropping, tiling to columns or rows, and the option to load while printing. The HP Scitex TJ Series double-sided upgrade is also available.
