ISA Sign Manufacturing Day 2018 a Hit

The International Sign Association (ISA; Alexandria, VA) has announced some of the successful sign-company hosted events on Oct. 5 that comprised Sign Manufacturing Day, the association’s initiative to introduce and recruit students and young people as future employees in the sign, graphics and visual communications industries. Various sign companies across the US and Canada hosted students from nearby high schools and colleges, offering them tours, hands-on experience and other event programming.

ISA reported that the event hosted by Poblocki Sign Company (Milwaukee) welcomed 16 students enrolled in fabrication classes from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) located right across the street. “Our team at Poblocki Sign Company was very happy to get involved and give great presentations to the students throughout our tour,” said Amanda King, people & culture leader for Poblocki. “We were impressed with their knowledge on manufacturing and the questions they asked.” The experience proved a benefit to all involved, and King said, “We will be thrilled to participate again next year!”
