Mitsubishi material suitable for lightbox, wayfinding graphics

Mitsubishi Plastics Inc. (Tokyo) is presenting the Hishimetal™ Series plastic-film-laminated, steel sheet that’s designed for lightbox and wayfinding graphics, among many other applications. The substrate comprises several base layers of metal coated by an adhesive layer, a plastic exterior and a rustproof coating. The films, which range from 0.3 to 2mm in thickness, are sold in sheets, sketches, coils or hoops up to 53 in. wide and 197 in. long for sheet material, or up to a 20-in. diameter for coils and hoops. Hishimetal may be joined by tight winding, nuts and bolts, riveting, welding or nitrile-rubber, PBC, chloroprene or epoxy adhesives.
