Light-Cured Adhesive

TruBond adheres plastic, glass and metal

Published

on

ITW Devcon (Danvers, MA) is debuting Tru-Bond™ 18400 Series light-cured, pressure-sensitive adhesives, which bond metals, glass and plastics, as well as such challenging materials as polyethylene and polypropylene panels. The liquid or gel bonding agents provide an unlimited installation time window, the company reports, and the adhesives are dry to the touch, yet provide an aggressive tack. The 18400 adhesives offer a low initial peel strength, but bond strength improves from 1 to 4 to 8 to 12 pli after 12 hours, and withstands temperatures from -10 to 125° F, the company reports.
