Mutoh America Gets 3M Performance Guarantee

Approval comes after tests on 3M media

3M Graphics Market Center (St. Paul, MN) has approved Mutoh America’s (Phoenix) ValueJet Hybrid 1608 64-in. piezo-inkjet printer, when used with Mubio inks, for its Performance Guarantee. The printer and inks were recently tested on 3M media for performance and durability.

To earn the performance guarantee, products must meet certain protocols, including tests for ink adhesion, color density and gloss, and test for durability using indoor accelerated weathering and outdoor weathering. Graphics must be installed according to 3M recommendations for the guarantee.

With its corn-based solvents, Mubio ink is the first inkjet ink to be recognized by the EPA under its Design for the Environment initiative, Mutoh states.
