Olympic Sign Acquires Some White Way Signs Assets

Olympic Signs (Lombard, IL) has announced its acquisition of White Way Signs (Chicago) assets, including the customer list, maintenance files and project record files. Olympic Signs’ co-owner Rob Whitehead calls it a "seamles transition." White Way was sold in May 2015.

Olympic Signs has served Chicago for more than 30 years by providing sign design, fabrication, permit acquisition, installation, maintenance and project management. Olympic signs include EMCs, channel letters, awnings, LED signs, pylon/monument signs and billboards as well as installation and maintenance of parking-lot and outdoor building lighting and LED conversions.

Olympic Signs was founded in 1980 by Robert Whitehead and Bill Pyter. It began in a two-car garage with a pick-up truck and a manual crane Today, the firm is based in a 35,000-sq.-ft. facility, with a customer base that includes The Chicago Tribune, The Drake Hotel, Boeing, Portillo’s, plus several municipalities and high schools.
