Online Guide to LED Bulbs

LEDguide.com offers a comparison-bulb guide

Cubix Concepts (Eindhoven, the Netherlands) is offering the LEDguide.com, an online, LED-lightbulb comparison site. The idea was spawned when the Dutch Metrology Institute revealed many LED bulbs don’t meet their light-output claims. When the incandescent phase-out began in September 2009 with the ban of the 100W lightbulb in the European Union (the U.S. will follow in January 2012), no EU standards had been set concerning LED light output, whereas the U.S. has a test procedure for LED-light products, including an online database with measurements of LED bulbs and fixtures. The company realized the EU needed a similar online-comparison service. The LEDguide.com focuses on LED retrofits for the most common light sources, including incandescent bulbs, halogen spots and fluorescent tubes.
