Permlight for Signs (Tustin, CA) is announcing its patent-pending X2 Technology, primarily for national-program signs. The technology alternates power between two sets of LEDs, to create a sign that is consistently brighter and completely illuminated for twice as long as currently available technology, the company reports. Applied to Nitro and El Plato, two signage products for channel letters in national programs, X2 Technology doubles the LED lifetime from five to 10 years, according to the company.
