Rigid-PVC sheets enable textured surfaces

American Permalight Inc. (Torrance, CA) is debuting photoluminescent ADA signs. The company can customize rigid PVC sheets to create ADA signage with raised letters and Braille beads, which can be applied or embedded into the surfaces. The sheets, which are available in various luminance durations from eight hours to more than three days, can be used to produce safety signs that help building occupants evacuate during a power failure, fire accompanied by smoke or at night.

The company also introduces daylight-fluorescent, combination, darkness-photoluminescent flexible vinyl film that can be screenprinted and digitally printed. The film comes in orange, lemon yellow, blue and green, and in 39 3/8-in.-wide x 54.7 yd.-long rolls. The product can be die-cut, kiss-cut and punched.

Permalight’s Power 150/22 complies with the new ASTM E2073-07 requirements and offers 35-hour measurable luminance in the dark, compared to former specs of only eight hours, the company reports.
