Piedmont Plastics® (Charlotte, NC) is announcing that Piedmont Sign Grade® AluPOLY® ACM sign product has been UL-recognized as a component for sign accessories in accordance to UL879 (Canada: CAN/CSA-C22.2 No 207-M89 Electronic Sign & Displays). The aluminum composite material provides UV protection and weatherability characteristics to make it suitable indoor and outdoor applications. Its anti-corrosive properties make the material impervious to water and most chemicals, the company reports.
Its polyester, painted surface accepts most inks and paints, and it can be digitally printed, screenprinted or have media applied directly to it. It can be cut, fabricated, mounted and installed using everyday tools. Standard colors include black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, brushed silver/silver and brushed silver/gold, with sheet sizes of 48 x 96, 48 x 120 and 60 x 120 in. Panel thicknesses are 2mm (.080 in.), 3mm (.118 in.) and 6mm (.240 in.), with varying aluminum-skin thicknesses for various applications: interior signage, exterior signage, real-estate signage, directional/informational signage, exhibition stands/displays, temporary traffic signage, ceiling/wall panels, monument signage, POS/POP, interior design, furniture, construction, 2D/3D signage, photo mounting and fascia signs.
