Optek Technology, a division of TT Electronics (Carrollton, TX), is announcing its Power Line design kit. Designated the OVPL5W3K series, the kit includes five, FR4 PC boards that measure 8 x 7/16 in.; each board has three, 0.5W white LEDs, with a 120° viewing angle, per board, along with a wire harness with a connector, and a hand-insertion tool. With the addition of a 15V power supply, the kit can be used for architectural accent lighting, under-counter lighting, media illumination, large channel-letter lighting, lightbox backlighting and point-of-sale displays. Additional individual board assemblies are available.
