Roland DGA Corporation Opens Creative Center

Roland DGA Corporation (Irvine, CA) is announcing the opening of the Roland DGA Creative Center on its campus. The gallery compiles the work of screenprinters, signmakers, fabric decorators, artists, engravers and others who ply their trade with the company’s machinery and tools.

The gallery divides into five themed sections: Roland @ Play, Roland @ Work, Roland @ the Movies, Roland @ Home and Roland on the Road. The exhibits comprise digitally printed murals and wraps, fine-art sculptures, engraved items and such novel installations as movie-set reproductions and a home-décor exhibit that features a sink decorated with dye-sublimated tiles and a wrapped refrigerator. A replica of an 1895 Otto Lilienthal “flying machine” with a 20-ft.-wide wingspan that’s adorned with digitally printed, fabric wings serves as a facility centerpiece.

Dave Goward, Roland DGA Corporation’s president and CEO, said “The Roland Creative Center has inspired us to imagine all that’s possible with Roland devices. We asked our customers for their most unique projects and built museum-quality exhibits around these items. We’re very proud of the results.”

Roland also operates Creative Centers in Japan, Belgium, Italy and Germany, and is currently developing a virtual Center that incorporates hundreds of exhibits.
