SA International (SAi), Salt Lake City, is promoting Marcelo Chagas to sales manager for Latin America. For the last 16 years, Chagas has worked closely with SAi’s FlexiSIGN software family, ten of those years directly for SAi.

Having been trained as a mechanical, electrical and software engineer, Chagas worked at Olivetti in Brazil, then, beginning in 1993, at SupriSigns, a Mimaki reseller. During his tenure there, he worked with the CASmate and Inspire families, which were developed by Scanvec, which later became SAi.

In 1998, Chagas was hired by Roland Brazil as a technical manager and large-format specialist. By the end of 1998, when Scanvec merged with Amiable Technologies, he became the company’s senior technical support for Brazil. Five years later, he was promoted to technical manager for Latin America.
