Sign Productions Inc. (Marion, IA) broke ground on a new 83,000-sq.-ft. facility located at Wolford Rd., on I-380 in SW Cedar Rapids, IA, on November 23. This new building has been designed specifically to facilitate the manufacturing of custom architectural signage.
Sign Productions currently conducts its Iowa operations from various facilities located in Marion, IA. The company also operates its Grant Sign Div. from a manufacturing facility in the Madison, WI area.
Sign Productions became a 100% employee owned ESOP business in September 2007. “Our employees-owners, and many of our partners throughout eastern Iowa, have worked extremely hard to make this new building possible. We are tremendously proud of our employee-owners and deeply grateful to all of our local, regional and national customers,” said Andy Meyer, Sign Productions’ president. “Not only will we be able to operate as a cohesive unit in this new facility, but we will have the capacity and access to the technologies that will allow us to continue to lead our industry.”
The company, which has grown to become one of the Midwest’s largest sign companies over the past 25 years, was recently named by the Corridor Business Journal one of the “Top 15 Fastest Growing Companies in Eastern Iowa.” The company specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of custom architectural and wayfinding signage for the U.S. and serves such markets as healthcare (hospitals and clinics), financial institutions (banks and credit unions), casinos, retail (shopping malls) and restaurants.
