Signs of the Times Hires New Assistant Editor

Mildred Nguyen, a former intern and part-time editorial assistant, begins full time today.

Signs of the Times announces the start of new Assistant Editor Mildred Nguyen today. Mildred had served as an intern during the fall of 2021 and as part-time editorial assistant since May of last year.

A December 2023 graduate of Northern Kentucky University (NKU; Highland Heights, KY), Mildred majored in Journalism and worked on the school’s newspaper, most recently as its managing editor. In addition to her work on Signs of the Times, Mildred also freelances for LINK nky, the news organization covering the Northern Kentucky region.

Mildred was born and raised in Vietnam. She studied English from an early age and while in high school, was placed in top rankings for a national knowledge of English contest that led to her earning a full scholarship to NKU. She’s an extraordinary young woman and please help me welcome her to the Signs of the Times community and the sign industry in general.
