MAY 31-JUNE 6

PROSPECTING Marvin Carreno, Capital Signs & Awnings (Bunkie, LA), will “keep reaching out to contractors and brand executives for upcoming opportunities.” Also, he’ll check in with old customers just to say “hi” and see if they need anything. Marketing materials for new offerings to start targeting an expanded client base make the list for Sarah Dixon, Unified Sign and Design (Louisville, KY).

JUNE 7-13

RECRUITING A National Branding (Troy, MI) committee including Torey Rouillon starts planning this month for October’s ISA Sign Manufacturing Day activities.

SEASONAL Shaun Ensign, Legacy Sign Group (Westville, IN), will have prepped for summer hours, summer events, golf outings and other networking events. Earl Walker, Image360 Tucker (Tucker, GA), plans to take a vacation. Jasper Burton, Cuerden Sign Co. (Conway, AR), has one word on the mind: “Fishing.”

JUNE 14-20

NETWORKING Send one email this week to a weak tie: an old colleague, a vendor’s assistant, your hairdresser’s cousin. Secondary contacts spark surprising opportunities. Fortune often sneaks in through the side door.

JUNE 21-30

RETIREMENT Perry Yaremchuk, City of Kelowna (Kelowna, BC, Canada), will plan for retirement, succession, etc. Meanwhile, across the continent, Rita Siprak-Weill, Minuteman Press Annapolis (Annapolis, MD), says, “I’ve sold my business so before I step away I want to make sure I’ve updated all the templates I have, the paper pricing is updated, glitches in the system are resolved, etc., so that [the new owner] can start on a clean, stable footing.”
