Jacob Rieskamp Signs of the Times March 2006 Issue

Spectra Printing Div. (Lebanon, NH), an arm of Dimatix Inc., is introducing the Molded Lung Module (MLM) and the Meniscus Pressure Controller (MPC) for its printheads. Constructed from a lightweight, high-density, thermally conductive and chemically resistant polymer, the MLM is an in-line-degassing unit designed for de-aeration of inks.

The standalone MPC regulates meniscus vacuum and purge pressure. The device supports up to four printheads or ink reservoirs and is insensitive to mounting orientation. It offers visual and electrical indication of low meniscus vacuum.
