I received an interesting query from a gentleman named Bill Geerhart seven years ago. He wanted to know if we had any information on the history of the Fallout Shelter sign. I explained that most of our coverage is about business/advertising signs. Undaunted, Bill conducted exhaustive research and found the answers. Aside from primarily serving as an excellent recall of Cold Wa-era sentiments, it also indrectly shows the lasting power that logos and signs can have.
