Miller Electric Mfg. Co. (Appleton, WI) is offering the SuitCase 12VS™, a voltage-sensing, portable, wire feeder designed for flux-cored and MIG welding. Contained in an injection-molded, crush-proof, flame-retardant case, the system operates on open-circuit arc voltage that eliminates the need for a power cord between the feeder and welding machine. The SuitCase 12VS permits flux-cored welding with constant-current power sources and MIG welding with constant-voltage power sources. The case holds wire spool up to 12 in. thick, and runs wire at 50 to 700 in. per minute.
