Xaar (Cambridge, U.K.) is announcing its UV-application, Xaar 1002 GS6 printhead for such UV-print applications as labels, laminates, direct-to-shape packaging and other types of product decoration. Because of Xaar’s patented TF Technology™ ink recirculation technology, the 1002 GS6 can apply heavily pigmented, high-opacity, white inks and high-viscosity varnishes. Xaar says the GS6 will produce jobs that require opaque, white-ink layers and high-build spot varnishes.
