American Permalight (Torrance, CA) is offering photoluminescent (non-electrical) UL 1994-listed printable substrates (films and rigid sheets) to create wall and floor-identification signs. The company reports new building codes require “luminous-egress path markings” in high-rise staircases to help occupants evacuate from darkened buildings. The signs can also be made ADA compliant.
