Bernard Improves Welding Comfort and Access with New MIG Gun Accessories

Neck Grip reduces heat exposure and operator fatigue, and Neck Coupler reduces costs for difficult to reach weld joints.

Bernard Welding Equipment (Beecher, IL) is introducing the Neck Grip and Neck Coupler to improve operator comfort and access to difficult-to-reach joints using a MIG gun.

A high-temperature silicone rubber tube that slides onto the Neck Grip reduces fatigue and increases operator control for welders who prefer to rest the neck of their Q-Gun or S-Gun on their hand or forearm while welding. Many welders use their hand or forearm as a pivot point to increase their welding accuracy and control, but this exposes them to more heat and often results in discomfort and fatigue. The neck grip shields the operator’s hand or forearm from the heat of the neck.

The Neck Coupler allows customers to join two or more Q-Gun or S-Gun necks consecutively, thereby avoiding delays in ordering a custom neck for applications with difficult-to-access weld joints. The coupler can be installed in under three minutes, the company states.
