EcoTek Lighting Develops Energy-Efficient Arched Graphics Indoor LED Menuboards

Suitable for quick-serve restaurants

Published

on

EcoTek Lighting (Lake Forest, CA) is announcing the Arched Graphics Indoor Menu Board with direct-backlit LED array technology. The direct-backlit LED menuboard allows graphics to be easily changed and provides up to 25% more usable graphics space per square foot of wall than a lift-and-drop menuboard.
Direct backlighting features LED grids that directly illuminate the back of a graphic, whereas traditional lift-and-drop models feature an edgelit Plexiglass® acrylic sheet, an arrangement that stretches lightbeams to the board’s center, which can develop hotspots.
The estimate lifespan of the menuboard’s LEDs is eight years in quick-serve restaurants, where hours of operation can average 18 to 20 hours daily. In addition, a single modular power supply will power multiple menuboards. A proprietary dimming sensor automatically dims the menuboard’s illumination when appropriate
